FRED™ 01 PORTABLE SMOKE AND FUME COLLECTOR FEATURING INJECTION SELF-CLEANING SYSTEM

Diversi-Tech’s FRED™ air cleaners are designed for installation in industrial applications for the removal of smoke, dust and other airborne contaminants. FRED™ will remove particulate as small as 0.5 micron with it’s standard filters and acts as a heat recovery device to drastically reduce heating cost by cleaning and recycling plant air. The FRED™ self-cleaning unit requires little maintenance. The unit is portable and can capture contaminants at source. The unit’s arm is self-supporting and captures pollutants before they reach the worker’s breathing zone.

HOW THE FRED™ FILTER SYSTEM WORKS

The FRED™ self-cleaning dust collection system eliminates the need for costly maintenance and frequent filter changes. Compressed air is blown through the filter in the reverse direction thus dislodging smoke and dust from the filter. The solid pollutants fall down through sliding gates that open when the filter is being cleaned to allow the debris to fall into the collection hopper.

Once the cleaning cycle is complete the sliding gates close, thereby eliminating re-entrapment of debris. The solid pollutants are then collected in a dust drawer or a hopper which must be emptied periodically.
