Diversi-Tech Application Study Tayco-Panelink (May 2006)

Problem

Tayco Panelink is a Canadian based manufacturer of office furniture. Their customer base is worldwide. In 2001, Diversi-Tech installed a small fume extraction system which continues to do the job today. With this in mind, Tayco called on Diversi-Tech to set up their new welding cell. The welding fixtures were too large to accommodate a source capture system therefore overhead canopy hoods were fabricated and ducted to a FRED-02-C. Operators were still required to wear masks however smoke from the process was being captured by the hood before they became a general nuisance.

The Solution

Diversi-Tech’s FRED-02 cleans its own filter every time you turn it off. The patented ICS cleaning system uses shop air to blow dust and smoke off of the cartridge filter and into a dust drawer for removal.
